We want to retain full control in Identity and Access Management. Is this possible with a SaaS solution?
Many organizations fear that they will lose control of their data with a SaaS solution. With the IAM Factory AG solution, the opposite is the case: all servers are operated exclusively in Germany in a data center of a German operator – we do not use any cloud platforms of international HyperScalers. A separate system environment with complete data separation is provided for each customer to ensure the greatest possible security.
As our customer, you retain full data sovereignty and determine what happens to your information. Thanks to open source, you always have transparency about how the software works – without a black box.
In addition, the high internal maintenance costs and investments in hardware as well as the search, training and continuous further training of suitable personnel are eliminated. The result: more security, less complexity, full sovereignty. And with IAM Factory AG, a personal point of contact at all times.
Is open source even professional and secure enough for identity and access management?
Open source means maximum transparency and security. This is because the source code is open and verifiable – security vulnerabilities can therefore be discovered and rectified more quickly. Independent experts around the world contribute to further development with suggestions for changes and improvements.
Numerous critical infrastructures (e.g. banks, administrations, research institutions) rely on open source because it is the most reliable basis in the long term. The open source IAM solution we use is of course maintained by the manufacturer and supported in the event of a fault. We take out a separate ‘Support Subscription’ for each customer in the name of our customer in order to achieve the greatest possible security and reliability. At the same time, we support further development in the common interest.
IAM Factory AG combines these advantages with 25 years of experience and professional support.
We already have a complex identity and access management system - a change seems too costly for us.
If you’re satisfied and your needs can be met effectively over the long term, stick with what you have. However, many of the products currently in use are being phased out by their providers, some no longer offer support, or are technologically outdated. In addition, many solutions merely serve as data hubs and offer neither self-service processes nor advanced security features. So the question isn’t so much whether you want to switch, but when you need to switch.
We understand: At first glance, a change seems overwhelming – after all, the effort involved in the previous introductions was high and the knowledge of this was acquired a long time ago. However, IAM Factory AG has extensive experience with migration projects. The changeover takes place gradually, without major interruption to your processes. Our support from analysis to operation reduces the workload for your IT department to the necessary minimum.
Are SaaS solutions for identity and access management really secure enough - especially for sensitive data?
Yes. Security and digital sovereignty are our core principles.
For hosting, we rely exclusively on ISO 27001-certified data centers in Germany from German operators. The software used is developed exclusively in Europe and is updated on an ongoing basis. Regular maintenance and updates ensure stability and security with progressive functionality. In addition, we take over the order processing for you on the basis of regulated contracts in accordance with German law and the provisions of the GDPR.
We are convinced that digital sovereignty on a European basis is necessary and possible.
We have special requirements for Identity and Access Management. Can IAM Factory AG handle these?
Every organization is different – that’s why our SaaS solutions are modular and can always be flexibly adapted.
We are happy to look at your requirements together with you – often, supposedly special topics are already represented by existing standard solutions.
